I know...it's a music blog, but you've all caught it, so I must address

HARRY POTTER FEVER!!! This entire weekend, despite the beautiful weather, people spent their time couped up in their rooms reading the 7th and final edition of Harry Potter. I, too, was one of these people, but I refuse to ruin the book for anyone. Therefore, I give everyone till... Monday of next week... before I start blogging about the book and looking for some feedback!

Please no spoilers. Not everyone reads as fast as everyone else and we don't want to ruin it for them!

Tonight the Fratellis are playing at Roseland Ballroom and I must urge EVERYONE and their mothers to go see them. They are FANTASTIC and for the the first time in months the show is not sold out yet!

Weekly ounce of vomit...

This week I'm changing things up a tad. My weekly ounce of vomit is more of a frustration with free shows. Now I know I shouldn't really be complaining, cause ya know, it's free. However, I am slightly annoyed that every time I want to see a free show it's fucking raining out! Spoon?! Siren's festival at Cooney Island last summer! I just can't take it anymore.

I apologize about the rant, but I needed a place to do it and I knew you all would listen!

This rocked my world ...

I don't think I've really talked about my obsession with Gogol Bordello yet and I think everyone needs to understand just how amazing I think they are. It all started when my roommate saw this gangly-looking man walk down the street (pst...it was Eugene Hutz). From that point on I could not get enough Hutz! After being away for a long weekend, I was completely out of the music circuit and found their Live Earth performance with Madonna. HOLY CRAP. They are sooooo fuckin' crazy and I love it!

Another weekly ounce of vomit...

There are so many issues I have with this song, where do i even start. Well, first off, we must address the video and the short opening scene (and for that matter the closing one too). Lil' Mama (who before I go any further I must say she is a HOT dancer) says, "I just wanna be a part of the cool kids mama." Her concerned mother responds, "I got something for ya. Take this lip gloss!" WHAT THE FUCK WHERE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!

But my really issue with the song (other than the fact that there is absolutely no music in the song and it get so incredibly irritating) are these lyrics...

The Smashing Pumpkins are back and their new video has just been released on Spinner.com. I'm not sure if it's the terrible outfit? or the terrible psychedelic background? or the lasers coming out of Billy Corgan's eyes? Who knows? But this video is WEIRD!!!
